ASDB has been the most welcoming community to Mira since she came for MCW her senior of high school. It is through ASDB that she has found some of her closest friends and for that she is forever grateful. ASDB has inspired her to put diversity & inclusion at the front of everything she does. She incorporates what we learn and talk about into her academics and extracurriculars. At BU, she is involved in a research project and outside of school she is involved with internships and a volunteer communications group.
Sasha Mendoza

Sasha loved being part of ASDB so much that they decided to become the Community Building Coordinator! They found their community within ASDB so it was only fair she helped other students find theirs within it too. Sasha's goal post-grad is to pursue a career in the healthcare field. Sasha has studied abroad in Madrid, went on a medical brigade with BU's chapter of Global Medical Brigades, and volunteered with Project Sunshine. She recently learned to knit over quarantine so that has been her current obsession.

Isabella Reyes

Auroramary is a junior majoring in international relations and plans to go to law school after undergrad. She absolutely adores ASDB because it has connected her with such genuine and awesome people. She love to travel and once booked a flight to Norway less than 24 hrs before boarding just because. Reading is a passion of mind and when she is not binging anything and everything, she is likely practicing calligraphy or staring at the moon. She's dabbled in stage troupe at BU and is a member of both Alianza Latina and ASO.
Isabella is currently a coordinator for the Ambassador program. She recently started working at the BU IT Help Center as a Support Specialist! Otherwise she loves baking, learning new things, and playing the guitar. If you’re interested in engineering here at BU please ask her any questions! She originally entered as BME and switched to MechE to fit her interests a bit more and has been enjoying her courses a lot more since. She's also originally from LI, NY so is always down to talk about all things New York too!

Annika Chun

Natalie is so happy to be part of ASDB because it’s such a welcoming community with a common goal. Aside from this, her career goal is to become a dentist, so she is part of the Pre-Dental Society at BU. She is also involved with BU’s Community Service Center, loves playing volleyball, (tries to) make people laugh, and is learning how to play the guitar.
Annika is currently the Public Relations Coordinator for ASDB and absolutely loves being a part of this community. Although she is always exploring new opportunities, she has been involved in Boston University on Broadway, a student theatre group, and the Environmental Student Organization at BU. She is an unfortunate coffee addict, loves to read books in her spare time, and strongly values spending quality time with her friends. She is always happy to answer your questions about college life!

Karina joined ASDB her sophomore year at BU and instantly fell in love with the organization and its mission. Besides ASDB, Karina has been involved in BUTV10, BU’s student-run television station, and has been an international peer mentor. One of her favorite experiences at BU has been studying abroad and having an internship in London. She loves to read, watch TV, and bake.

Yessika loves exploring the city and trying different kinds of food. She is the VP of Diversity and Inclusion of BU’s The Women’s Network and a member of Alianza Latina. She is really interested in research, specifically pathology. She's passionate about her work with the AVID chapter at her previous high school where she works with minority students who want to go to college (often the first in their families). She loves reading, drinking coffee, and spending time with her friends and family.
Belize Combs

Belize joined ASDB her first year at BU and has been involved ever since! In her free time, she really enjoys reading, cooking, and working out. Her favorite foods are sushi and pizza and she also needs to have at least 2 coffees everyday to keep herself functional. She has been an avid tik tok fan since August 2019 and is still going strong. She really enjoys making new friends and hanging out with her loved ones as often as possible. And lastly, she loves BU!
Taylor Feaster

Taylor adores being a part of ASDB and will be forever grateful for this community. There are countless experiences and opportunities to be had, as well as so many incredible people. Apart from ASDB, Taylor is a part of the pep band and an avid hockey fan. When she's not studying you can find her hanging out with friends, exploring Boston, and marathoning Love Island.
Rohan Kothari

Hometown: Singapore
Rohan has been a part of ASDB for two years where the community has welcomed him and allowed him to easily transition between high school and university. As a big chess and soccer fan, Rohan is involved with BU’s Chess Club and plays soccer in his free time. He is also a part of BU’s FinTech Club. Outside of BU, Rohan writes and edits for Harvard’s Singapore Policy Journal. Outside of college, Rohan enjoys spending time with his family and eating Thai food.
Maddie Zakin

Maddie absolutely loves the community she has found in ASDB, especially the close knit family feel that is present at every meeting. During her time at BU she has realized her love for sociology and is so grateful for the opportunities that has given her. Outside of school Maddie loves exploring Boston with friends, discovering new music, and finding the best coffee spots!
