Boston University Overnight (BUO)

About BUO

Every October, Boston University and the Admissions Student Diversity Board (ASDB) hold our Boston University Overnight (BUO) program for prospective underrepresented and first-generation students!

Boston University Overnight invites prospective students from Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia to spend two days at BU. Students experience student life and housing through the overnight portion and our academic/admissions programming during our Fall Visit Day.

BUO provides prospective students an exclusive look into the experience of BU students and a impactful exploration into the opportunities that higher education can provide them.

BUO also acts as a space for underrepresented students to connect with one another as they visit BU and with the diverse communities within BU's current student body.

For  2023, we had the honor of hosting over 150 students from

Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia!

During our night portion, students got to enjoy:

1. A club expo where they met with a variety of BU student organizations,

2. A wellbeing exercise and meaningful conservations

with the Newbury Center at Boston University, and

3. Fun dance workshops with BU's Afrithms and VTD dance groups!

Thank you to all the students from the Class of 2028

who attended our 2023 BUO Programming!

We cannot wait for to host prospective students again in October 2024!
