Boston Outreach
Our Mission
We are dedicated to uplifting and preparing underrepresented and first generation high school students in the Boston area for their higher education journey.

Group Visits
ASDB members will lead campus tours for schools in the Greater Boston Area as well as local Community Based Organizations, to help prospective students understand BU and the college admissions process. Many of these group visits are done so in collaboration with the wonderful College Access & Student Success Office at BU Wheelcok.
Neighborhood Spotlights
Each ASDB Meeting, A Boston Outreach Committee Member will highlight a Boston Neighborhood. These presentations are meant to increase ASDB members’ awareness of diverse communities and the history within Boston neighborhoods. What these members learn from these visits is then compiled to documents for prospective and current BU students to use as a research when navigating and exploring Boston. These presentations can be found on the "Explore Boston" page.
MCW Takes Boston
During Multicultural Community Welcome, the Boston Outreach Committee coordinates “MCW Takes Boston”, where admitted underrepresented minority students explore the city of Boston alongside ASDB members.
