Meet the Staff!
Student Coordinators
The ASDB Coordinators are the student leaders of the Admissions Student Diversity Board. They oversee the four committees and their members, and collaborate with the Multicultural Recruitment Team to plan events such as Boston University Overnight and Mosaic Community Welcome for prospective and admitted students of BU. The ASDB Coordinators also co-oversee the Admissions Ambassadors program!

ELENA GANDY
Community Building Coordinator
Elena (WED '26) is studying Child & Adolescent Mental Health with a minor in History. She is originally from Phoenix, Arizona.
She enjoys cooking and baking for friends, listening and playing music, and reading outside in sunny weather!
RIVER HUNTER
Public Relations Coordinator
River (CAS ‘26) is studying Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is from Newark, New Jersey.
Outside of ASDB/Ambass, they enjoy building LEGO sets, watching Criminal Minds, gaming, and trying new foods!
MECCA LARTIGUE
Community Linked Coordinator
Mecca (WED '26) is Youth Development and Justice. She is originally from Greenbelt, Maryland.
When she's not working, Mecca likes to watch movies and TV shows, take walks around the city, and get way too invested in pop culture!
EMMANUELLE BOGOMOLNI
Boston Outreach Coordinator
Emmanuelle (CAS ‘26) is studying Marine Science with a minor in African Studies. Outside of her work at Admissions, Emmanuelle enjoys reading, taking walks on the Charles River Esplanade, and chilling anywhere with animals near her!

Senior Assistant Director for Multicultural Recruitment
Sarah Thomson
Sarah studied psychology and math at St. Lawrence University, and unsurprisingly loves working with both students and spreadsheets. As a first generation college graduate, she is proud to represent BU through her admissions work in the Boston area and passionate about supporting underrepresented and first generation students. Some of her favorite places include: the Adirondacks, in/on/anywhere near the ocean, and in a really big kitchen cooking with friends and family.
Associate Director for Multicultural Recruitment
Brittney Sampson
Brittney is devoted to social justice and youth empowerment. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Sociology and Education. Afterwards, she worked as a Trainer for the Posse Foundation in Boston, supporting and mentoring scholars in their collegiate experience, and she now supports the NYC admissions region at BU. She is an avid believer that fall should exist year round, and has a great appreciation for infinity scarves, Yelp, and Netflix.
Assistant Director of Multicultural Recruitment
Gabriela Reyes Jusino
Gabriela attended the University of Maine and graduated with a Bachelor's in Art History. She then worked with College Advising Corps in Somerville, helping high school students throughout their journey to college as a College & Career Advisor. As an Admissions Director, she supported the Texas and Oklahoma region for BU. Gabriela is passionate about her Puerto Rican heritage and she is bilingual in English and Spanish. She is a budding plant mom, and she loves making playlists and watching Formula 1 with friends.
